Patrick O'Leary is a third-year student at Harvard Law School. His fellowship research project will focus on the tension between federal policies promoting innovation in and commercialization of bio-medical research and the government’s consumer-protection obligations. He is particularly interested in healthcare and FDA enforcement policy, and in the changing roles of different institutional actors including FDA, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Justice in bringing enforcement actions against companies and individuals in life-sciences industries. Patrick graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in religious studies. Before law school he worked as an AmeriCorps member at the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, DC.
