J.P. Sevilla holds a JD from George Mason School of Law and a PhD in Economics from Harvard University. He was an Academic Fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center from 2007 to 2009. During his fellowship, he researched theories of well-being and the relationship between age and the value of statistical lives. In addition to holding an Academic Fellowship at the Center, J.P. previously held appointments as Assistant Professor at the Harvard School of Public Health and Research Associate in the Department of Global Health and Population. J.P. is currently a consultant and independent researcher working in the areas of law and economics, global health, public health, and applied microeconomics and econometrics.
