Visiting Scholar
November 2018

John Tingle is a Lecturer in Law at Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham (UK) and Visiting Professor of Law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. The main focus of his research is the exploration of the legal aspects of the UK government's health quality policy initiatives, such as clinical risk management and clinical governance. The consistency of policy development in these areas is explored utilising a USA-comparative perspective. He is the editor, most recently, of Global Patient Safety: Law, Policy and Practice (with Clayton Ó Néill, Morgan Shimwell; Routledge, 2018).

During his time with the Petrie-Flom Center, John presented his work at a session of the Health Law, Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics Workshop.
