Petrie-Flom Academic Fellow Nicholson Price has been appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where he will research and teach on intellectual property, innovation policy, and the life sciences. In his two years at the Petrie-Flom Center, Nicholson has studied innovation in the pharmaceutical industry, personalized medicine, and the issues surrounding secondary findings in genomic research. His sole-author works from his time at the Center will be published in the Boston College Law ReviewIP Theory, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the American Journal of Bioethics; co-authored pieces have appeared or will appear in Pediatrics, the Hastings Center Report, and Genetics in Medicine. He has given invited presentations at Harvard Law School, Yale Law School, Mass. General, and the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology and Education. This spring he is teaching an HLS seminar on Genetics and the Law.
