Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Associate Director for Research Compliance, this position is responsible for leading and supporting a myriad of processes across the Office for Academic and Research Integrity. The Program Manager will work with the Associate Director providing substantive support to all aspects of the research enterprise as well as determining opportunities to improve upon compliance efforts with HMS, Federal and grant-related systems and regulations. This individual will additionally support the Associate Director in non-compliance reviews. The Program Manager will sit on the training portal working group and be the liaison for all research compliance training to be developed and disseminated at HMS. Working with the Associate Director, this individual will contribute to the development and delivery of specific trainings. The Program Manager will be responsible for website content development, including creation of substantive content to ensure website is kept current and relevant to areas of emerging risk, as well as working with technical staff to ensure that the website is user-friendly, readily accessible and highly utilized central resource for compliance related information and tools. This individual will additionally conduct substantive reviews related to conflict of interest program, draft management plans as required for conflict management and will conduct reviews of faculty consulting agreements for institutional policy compliance. The Program Manager will consider the development of a quality assurance program around research compliance to supplement a quality assurance program being spearheaded by the research integrity team as to data management. This individual will additionally plan, develop, and execute appropriate internal studies and projects as needed. 

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience in research, research compliance or regulatory field. Graduate degree may count toward experience.

Additional Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Be detail oriented. Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle complex and confidential information with discretion. Competency using a variety of computer software required. Experience developing and disseminating training materials preferred. Experience with research administration preferred. Website development and maintenance skills preferred.
