Faculty Postion: Bioethics

New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is currently inviting applications for a tenured or tenure-track position at any level (assistant, associate, or full professor) in bioethics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or J.D. Successful applicants are expected to be outstanding teachers who demonstrate a strong scholarly career track in bioethics. Interdisciplinary interests are encouraged, and some background in science, public health, or health policy is desirable. The faculty member’s primary appointment will be in the Department of Philosophy at NYUAD with an affiliation with the Division of Medical Ethics at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City.
The terms of employment are competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children. Members of NYU Abu Dhabi standing faculty receive generous support for research and travel. The teaching load is three undergraduate courses per year (semester system), including at least one in the core curriculum. The appointment starting date is negotiable, pending candidate availability. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and continue until the position is filled.
