Life Science Milestone Achievement Program (MAP)
Massachusetts Life Sciences Center
Deadline: February 02, 2015
Created to address the need of early-stage life sciences companies to reach critical value-creating milestones, the program's goals are to fill a gap in the existing funding environment and enable companies to attract additional outside funding. The MAP will fund grants to Massachusetts companies to support their work toward completion or fulfillment of a defined milestone, e.g. prototype development, clinical testing, legal filings, and business plan development. Grant awards will range between $50,000 and $200,000.
Target applicants for the Life Sciences MAP are early-stage Massachusetts based companies that can define and articulate a critical milestone needed in order to drive their business forward, and they are currently working with or have previously worked with a mentor or mentors.
Companies must fall within one of the five life sciences sectors: bioinformatics, biopharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical devices.
Examples of fundable milestones include projects relating to Product Development and Scale Up, Clinical Evaluation and Regulatory Process endpoints, completing Business and Strategy objectives, and Market Validation. Please refer to the Solicitation for complete program details.
Will be available on the MLSC's website beginning December 8, 2014.
