Please note that, although the online information about the courses on the host institution website is partially in Spanish, most faculty in the Departments of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology speak English, and the scholar will only be expected to teach in English. Detailed information about his/her tasks will be provided to candidates in a timely manner and in English after being selected.

A) Teaching at the postgraduate level:

Teaching at the postgraduate level within the M.Sc. and Ph.D. Programs in Molecular Biology or Biotechnology.

The visiting scholar will teach courses according to his/her experience, with a maximum total of 20 students in each course. Teaching includes theory and practical lessons.

He/she is expected to:

Teach Emerging Technologies in Molecular Biology or Biotechnology. He/she is welcome to choose from any of the available courses (see links below)
Assist students with seminars, journal clubs, round tables, etc. on topics related to Molecular Biology or Biotechnology.
Participate in research projects in the field of Molecular Biology or Biotechnology.

B) Research:

The scholar will be invited to present his/her research in seminars and to attend research seminars led by the School of Biology professors. It is expected that the scholar will have ample opportunity for collaboration with the School of Biology research groups.

In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program is designed to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary research or teaching activities.
