Position Highlights

Utilize your demonstrated leadership skills as you provide guidance to clinicians, directors and managers to ensure Fraser Health is a leader in the provision of clinical ethics services.

Accountable to, and in collaboration with the Director, Ethics & Diversity Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing, mentoring and supporting the 50+ Ethics Consult Team members (including physicians, nurses, allied staff, administrators) and the clinical ethics consultation services team;
  • Undertaking Ethics analysis of complex social issues for consideration by clinical teams, organizational leaders and provincial clinical practice groups;
  • Guiding the scholarship and publications work of the department.

As the successful candidate, you possess a Ph.D in Bioethics or related discipline (such as philosophy) plus three (3) years recent related experience in a clinical or healthcare setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and clinical ethics experience.
