Clíodhna Ní Chéileachair

During her fellowship year, Clíodhna Ní Chéileachair was an LLM student at Harvard Law School. Cliodhna, who hails from Ireland, also holds a BCL degree in Law and Philosophy from University College Dublin. Prior to her masters, she worked as a teaching assistant in criminal law, company law and the philosophy of law in University College Dublin and as a paralegal in a corporate firm, with a focus on healthcare litigation and employment law. Her primary research interests are in the intersection of feminist legal theory and health law, ethics and the philosophy of law, particularly in relation to questions of consent and objectivity. While a Petrie-Flom Student Fellow, Clíodhna studied the effect of the recognition of a foetal right to life on the medical consent rights of pregnant women. Following her fellowship year, she accepted a public interest fellowship to pursue reproductive rights advocacy in the UK.
