UPCOMING! Annual Health Law Conference: Between Complacency & Panic: Legal, Ethical and Policy Responses to Emerging Infectious Diseases
From the event:
Emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) such as Ebola and the Zika virus pose potentially grave threats to human health. They can also incite overreations that lead to the scapegoating of vulnerable populations and counter-productive public health responses, such as those that occurred during the 2014 Ebola outbreak. This one-day conference will bring together leading policymakers, practitioners and academics to explore the dangers of such diseases and to discuss the development of effective, evidence-based, legally sound and ethically appropriate policy responses.
