"The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University seeks a talented and experienced individual to support the Institute’s mission of technology translation as an Entrepreneur In Residence reporting to the Institute Director.  
  
The successful candidate will apply his/her startup knowledge, experience and market opportunity perspective to support and guide translation strategy and technical development of Wyss Institute technologies. A critical responsibility of this position will be to help create solid business plans based on market need, potential impact and Institute competencies for Wyss portfolio technologies. The candidate will need to have and maintain an extensive professional network and will leverage the Institute’s expertise, resources, and networks to enhance the Institute’s translational efforts in multiple technology areas and domains. 
  
The successful candidate will have successfully launched startup companies preferably in the immunotherapy or infectious disease space and managed a variety of industry-related projects with a focus on the preclinical development of novel therapeutics, formulations, and in vitro tools. The candidate should be versed in working with and leading diverse teams made up of business development, scientific, clinical and medical professionals. The successful candidate should also be able to present and promote Wyss technologies to potential partners and investors with the goal to launch startup companies and/or licensing deals."
