Position Announcement:

The Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University is seeking applicants for up to 2 positions as Research Scholars in its Public Health Law and Policy (PHLP) Program. Candidate(s) will work full-time (or part-time, subject to availability) with a collaborative team of faculty, fellows, and students on national and regional public health law and policy projects.

Candidate Requirements:

Candidates must have their J.D. degree from an accredited law school as well as exceptional academic credentials. Candidates who have experience working in the field of public health, or who have a Masters of Public Health (MPH) or Masters of Law (LLM, with a public health/ health law concentration) from accredited schools of public health or law, may be preferred.

Additional considerations include: strong scholarly or research interests; prior course work in public health law, ethics, and policy; excellent organizational, management, and public speaking skills; and the capacity to work closely with mentors, staff, national legal and public health practitioners, and other partners.

Compensation:

Salary and benefits through the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law will be based on institutional guidelines for the position as well as the candidate(s)’ experience.

Anticipated Duration and Starting Date:

The position is for a 12 month period starting May 1, 2017 (start date and duration are flexible depending on a candidate’s availability and qualifications, with the possibility of additional time subject to continued funding and performance).

(3)  Unofficial copy of the candidate’s J.D. and post-J.D. legal studies, or other graduate programs;
