We’re excited to introduce and welcome Greg Koski to our blogging community as a regular contributor.

Greg was the first Director of the Office for Human Research Protections in the Department of Health and Human Services. He is currently Anesthetist, Cardiac Anesthesia Group, Mass General Hospital (MGH); Director of Clinical Research, Division of Cardiovascular Anesthesia, MGH; Senior Scientist, MGH/Partners Institute for Health Policy; and Associate Professor of Anesthesia, Harvard Medical School.  He was educated at Harvard (AB, PhD, and MD), and returned to join the MGH Department of Anesthesia in 1984 after completing his medical training at NIH.  During his 30 years at Harvard, Greg actively participated in every aspect of academic medicine including basic research, clinical investigation, teaching, administration and patient care. He has been both an IRB Chair and a research subject.  As prior Director of Human Research Affairs at Partners, Greg was responsible for the ethical and regulatory oversight of human investigation including protection of human participants in research studies.
