Solana Yoma, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET-Argentina). She is also a Lecturer on “Health Psychology in Public Health, Collective Health, and Mental Health” at the School of Psychology (National University of Córdoba, UNC). Solana holds a Ph.D. and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC and she is currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Rights at the European University of Madrid. Solana is an active member of the Mental Health and Human Rights Observatory, the University Observatory for the Right to Care, and the Social Rights and Public Policies Group at the University of Buenos Aires. She is also part of CONICET’s Human Rights Research Network, contributing to the “Mental Health” and “Access to Information, Indicators, and Human Rights Education” clusters. From 2019 to 2023, Solana served as a member of the Honorary Advisory Council on Mental Health and Addictions, established under Argentina’s National Mental Health Law (Law 26.657), where she contributed to policy discussions on mental health and human rights. Her academic work bridges research and advocacy, with a strong focus on mental health, public policies, and human rights.
